HONORING THE OLD,

EMBRACING THE NEW

Intra-Coastal Packing, Inc. was founded in the late 1970s, by Gerald “Jerry” Duthler. Jerry’s career started in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a boy cleaning a beef slaughterhouse and resulted in him owning several beef companies in Michigan prior to his retirement, at 40. Retirement lead Jerry and his family to south Florida where he spent a great deal of time fishing. One day, when the fish weren’t biting, Jerry bought an existing processing facility in Lake Worth, Florida. At that time, Jerry and his team processed meat, poultry, and fish.

In 2002, Jerry began a complete renovation of the plant, adding an additional loading dock, an expanded processing area, and a state-of-the-art holding freezer. Jerry passed away in 2017, and the Duthler family maintained ownership.

In 2019, Jerry’s eldest granddaughter, Mariah Knefely joined the team. She is now the President and the third generation at Intra-Coastal Packing!

Before joining ICP, Mariah was an executive for several large federal contractors who operated contracts in the fields of Physical Security, Fire and EMS, Base Operations Support, Facilities Maintenance, and Janitorial service. Mariah had oversight of multiple departments to include Contracts, Procurement, Operations, Business Management, and Proposal Development.
